The John Rupert Theatres Annual General Meeting will be held at the theatre on Wednesday 1 October at 7pm and the Movie The Butler will follow immediately thereafter.

The Butler tells the story of a White House butler who served eight American presidents over three decades. The film traces the dramatic changes that swept American society during this time, from the civil rights movement to Vietnam and beyond, and how those changes affected this man's life and family. Forest Whitaker stars as the butler, Cecil Gaines, with Robin Williams as Dwight Eisenhower, Oprah Winfrey as Gloria Gains and Jane Fonda as Nancy Reagan to name but a few great names in this film.

The Butler shows on Wednesday, 1 October at the John Rupert Theatre, R20 per person and the movie follows the Annual General Meeting to be held at the Theatre prior to the showing. Doors open 6.30pm and the AGM begins promptly at 7pm. Tickets available at the door.
