"Amani” is a Swahili word that means ‘place of peace’, carefully chosen to represent the sheer luxury and relaxation of this sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of city living.

The African cultures are known for their warmth and hospitality. Amani Lodge is dedicated to maintaining this important theme, treating each guest to a unique, indulgent experience during their time in the Friendly City, as Port Elizabeth is affectionately known.

In addition, Walmer is centrally located. Amani Guest Lodge is, therefore, within a few minutes’ drive of the airport, major shopping centres, doctors, hospitals and even the beautiful beaches for which the Eastern Cape is known and loved.

Amani Guest Lodge is situated within a few minutes’ drive from the Port Elizabeth Airport. However, being completely out of the flight path, there is no noise disturbance from the jets overhead.

From the N2

• Take M4 (Settlers Way) exit
• Stay on the M4 as far as the traffic lights at the end of the freeway
• At the traffic lights turn right into Walmer Boulevard
• Keep straight for about 2.7 kms and turn left into 4th Avenue
• Amani Lodge is the second house on the left.

From Port Elizabeth Airport

• At the Engen filling station - turn left at the traffic circle
• Cross the railway line and turn left into Union Road
• Turn first right into 4th Avenue
• In the second block Amani Lodge is the second house on the right.
