Winkelshoek is a rugged thatched roof establishment at Piketberg, set between the majestic Piquetberg Mountains and rolling wheat fields of the Swartland. It is a must-stop spot for any tourist on the N7 heading north from Cape Town or south from Namibia.

Approximately 1 ½ hours’ drive from Cape Town on the flower & wine route of this region; this establishment offers all the amenities that make travelling a pleasurable experience.

Not only will you have the pleasure of buying & tasting Winkelshoek wines, fortified wines & brandies, but also the wines of the cellars of the Swartland region. All these wines along with a connoisseur's selection of other beverages and gifts are available in the well-stocked wine shop. A visit to our Wine Shop will allow you to choose from a selection of wines of the cellars of the Swartland Wine Route. A wide variety of red, white and fortified wines, as well as Winkelshoek brandies are on display. A selection of wines that varies from month to month is available for tasting. The tasting centre is open from Monday to Friday between 9h00 and 16h00 and on Saturdays from 9h00 until 12h00. Tour groups are advised to book in advance.

Aside from this glorious selection of wine, there are a wide variety of wine accessories, gifts and other items of interest to purchase.

A delightful curio shop provides all sorts of unexpected pleasures, while the Spur restaurant with its delicious cuisine offers a place for travellers to rest their weary bones & explore the menu with its variety on offer.

The Total filling station with 24 hour La Boutique convenience store and the Busta's take away outlet (with compliments of Spur) completes this must-stop spot.
